Ivy Lane has no memories of her birth family. She can barely recall her childhood spent bouncing between foster homes before landing at McCourt Manor with Dr. John McCourt and his wife Ester. Ivy knows that nothing good lasts forever for foster kids, and when Dr. McCourt is arrested for unspeakable actions against the other foster children at the home, her life takes a turn for the worse.
After years of therapy and a stint in jail, Ivy is determined to get back to the only home she's ever known, and what's left of the McCourt family, John and Ester’s son,Carter. When Ivy makes it back home, she soon realizes there was much more to being Lucky Number 23 than she realized.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Krystle Able grew up and still lives in Central Illinois with her three children and pets. Krystle knew she wanted to be a writer when she won a book making contest in summer daycare when she was 9 years old. After 10+ years in retail management, she took the plunge into writing full time in 2015, and also works as a freelance web content writer.

Krystle enjoys being a multi-genre author with releases planned in the romance, thriller, contemporary fiction, and paranormal genres.

Always a reader first, Krystle's favorite hobbies include supporting and cultivating relationships in the indie publishing and small press publishing world, and talking about literature. She is currently finishing her BA in English Literature at University of Illinois Springfield.
